SAFETY FIRST

Do you have a pepper spray?

If NO, go and buy.
If YES, always make sure it is handy.

Where do you keep your security money? Security money is not only for use when you go on a date neither is it meant solely for the purpose of a visit gone wrong.

Security money is a savior in all cases to avoid being stranded.
Aside from the money in your purse/ bag, have a token that can transport you reasonably in your outfit, just incase you are stripped off your bag.

Dress smartly always, so that when you need to run, a tight skirt or dress will not launch you to your doom.

Take a taxi from a verified park, if otherwise confirm your driver via the number plate, share your ETA with someone you trust.

If you are out with friends, be careful of what you eat and drink.

If you intend to stay out late,  be conscious of whose company you are in, stories abound from not defining friendships.

While attempting to resist your attacker, if you are not convinced of your freedom move struggling will likely intensify the pressure on you, anyway, try if you get a chance.

When you step out, make sure someone knows your whereabout.

Before you step out, forward  available details of your host.

If from here, I drop your Facebook name, mobile number, few mutual friends I'm cock sure you interact with, and address of our meet up location, if they are not your friends in reality at least they will cooperate with the authorities to fish you out.

I usually drop a message/ call on arrival and do the same at departure.

If you own a car, avoiding displaying luxury items, keep handbag and phones out of reach and make sure your doors are locked at all times.

Please be safe, Christmas is almost here and the ones who were lazy all year round will want to storm the village in a luxurious way.

I've shared these tips as they have come to mind, feel free to add more.

I hope this helps.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.
